Desde la Municipalidad a través del Área de Educación y Cultura se recuerda que hoy se cumplen 50 años de la primera edición y publicación de la revista “Hortensia” del destacado artista local Alberto Pío Augusto Cognigni.
Por tal motivo, se comparte la Resolución Nº 811/2021 del Concejo Deliberante por la cual se declara de “Interés Legislativo” el acontecimiento iniciado por un destacado bellvillense.
Cognigni, nació en nuestra ciudad el 11 de noviembre de 1930, desarrolló sus estudios en la Escuela Provincial de Bellas Artes “Fernando Fader” y posteriormente se radicó en la ciudad de Córdoba donde prosiguió con sus estudios artísticos.
En 1969 ganó el premio SIP Mergenthaler (otorgado por la Sociedad Interamericana de Prensa), en reconocimiento a su labor como caricaturista. Dos años más tarde, logró el cuarto premio en el “Salón Internacional del Humor” en Canadá.
En el año 1971, Alberto Pío Cognigni dio a conocer su mayor creación, la revista “Hortensia”, la cual, desde sus páginas de sano humor provinciano, ofreció la mejor semblanza posible de la genuina identidad cordobesa, logrando, en virtud de ello, obtener amplia repercusión y valoración a nivel nacional e internacional.
La primera y aún única publicación del interior del país que alcanzó difusión a nivel nacional, llegó a lograr tirajes cercanos a los 100 mil ejemplares, constituyéndose en un emblema de la producción gráfica para toda la Argentina.
Cognigni falleció de un ataque cardíaco el 16 de junio de 1983, un año después que su mujer, quien había sido otra columna fundamental de la publicación. Fue el tiro de gracia para el adiós de Hortensia.
